Israel Adesanya 's career hiatus may be shorter than anyone imagines. The former UFC middleweight champion (up to 83,9 kg) broke his silence and spoke about the need to step away from competition and about a possible return.

“I'm taking my time now. I had four fights in 14 months as UFC champion. This is unprecedented. I was the most active champion in my league. Life forced me to take some time away and I will, but you will see me soon”, he promised.

After his defeat and subsequent loss of the belt to Sean Strickland at UFC 293 in September of this year, Israel Adesanya suggested that he would not compete again until 2027. According to the Nigerian, however, the estimate was intentionally exaggerated.
