Charles do Bronx , former Ultimate lightweight champion (up to 70,3kg) , is back in training and may have a new challenge ahead. According to rumors on social media, the Brazilian may face Arman Tsarukyan , who is coming off an impressive knockout victory over Beneil Dariush at UFC Austin.
Speculation began when Charles Oliveira himself reposted some stories from Jorge Patino Macaco, one of his representatives, saying that "the champion is back." Tsarukyan, in turn, made a cryptic post on his Instagram, saying that "big news is coming." Fans quickly connected the two posts and began to speculate about a possible fight between the two athletes.

However, sources close to the event deny that there are any ongoing negotiations and claim that Charles do Bronx still does not have a defined opponent. The Brazilian had to stay away from the octagon for a few months due to an eyebrow injury, which prevented him from facing Islam Makhachev in a rematch at UFC 294.
What is the future of Charles do Bronx in the UFC?
Meanwhile, Tsarukyan has been on a meteoric rise in the lightweight division, with eight wins in ten fights. The Armenian-Russian, who debuted in the UFC in 2019 with a defeat to Makhachev himself, recovered masterfully and became one of the main names in the category, currently occupying fourth place in the rankings.
Besides Tsarukyan, other names being considered to face Charles Oliveira are Islam Makhachev , Justin Gaethje , and Conor McGregor . None of them have fights scheduled, but nothing has been officially confirmed by the UFC.
