At the top of the UFC flyweight division (up to 56,7kg), Alexandre Pantoja doesn't know who he will face in his next fight, but he has a demand. On his social media, the champion has been calling for a fight to be scheduled in Brazil, his home country. In 14 fights in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, the athlete has never fought on Brazilian soil.
“I’ve fought all over the world, but never in Brazil (for the UFC). I want to defend my belt in Rio de Janeiro, because it’s my city,” the champion wrote on his Instagram profile.

A standout in the flyweight division for years, Pantoja won the title after a true battle against Brandon Moreno at UFC 290. On that occasion, the Brazilian and the Mexican engaged in one of the biggest fights of the 2023 season. At the end of five rounds, Alexandre was declared the winner.
About five months later, the Brazilian returned to the octagon for his first fight as champion. Facing Brandon Royval , the Brazilian once again impressed and defeated his rival by judges' decision.
