Joe Rogan, the leading commentator in Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) history, subtly criticized fighters outside the organization's roster. The influencer and podcaster acknowledged that talented athletes exist outside the UFC, but asserted that without the power of the company led by Dana White, "nobody" would watch them fight.

“With no disrespect to the other organizations, there are very good fighters in the other organizations, but I often feel like they are wasting their careers. Because I see these elite fighters that are fighting in Bellator and the PFL and I'm like, 'Hey guys, no one's watching you. “I mean, some people are watching, you're getting a bit of a fan base. I mean no disrespect, but there is a reality... There's the XFL, there's the CFL, and then there's the NFL. If you're not in the f***ing NFL, are you really playing football? Is that so. If you are a UFC champion, the promotion is second to none. There is nothing like it. I mean, everyone knows who you are when you’re UFC champion,” Rogan said.
Joe Rogan's 'provocation' comes at a crucial moment for MMA. Former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou defied the company and was fired, pursuing his dream of fighting professionally in boxing. Last November, the PFL announced the purchase of Bellator, and now, talented names like Johnny Eblen, Patrício Pitbull , and Umar Nurmagomedov will have crucial days to decide their future in the sport.
