Georges St-Pierre, considered by many to be the greatest MMA fighter of all time, turned down a multi-million dollar offer to face Tyron Woodley , former UFC welterweight champion (up to 77kg) , who is now looking to reinvent himself in his own fight promotion.

In an interview with TMZ, Woodley revealed that he has launched his own organization, The Realest International Promotion (TRIP), in which he intends to compete. The former UFC welterweight champion made the first two offers to big names in MMA, but neither of them accepted. GSP has, in the past, made it clear on several occasions that he has no intention of fighting again.

“I’m looking to fight guys who are legendary to me, who I feel maybe didn’t get the respect and money they should have gotten when they were at the top. Like Georges St-Pierre, who I offered a lot of money to and he said no, saying he doesn’t fight anymore. I also offered Nick Diaz . I got to eight figures, a lot of money. They both said no,” said Woodley.

The former fighter, who is a member of the UFC Hall of Fame, has always been cautious about a possible return to MMA. In previous interviews, he stated that he would only return for a fight that made sense for his legacy, such as a super fight against Khabib Nurmagomedov.
