Manel Kape recants after having to cancel second fight in a row against Matheus Nicolau

Angolan reveals serious rib injury and takes opportunity to provoke Brazilian; athletes were scheduled to duel on April 27

Unlucky in his quest for the flyweight belt (up to 56,7kg), Manel kape his fight was canceled for the second time in a row. Previously, in a scheduled rematch against Mateus Nicolau, the Angolan failed to make weight. After another attempt, the category's standout fell victim to rib problems and gave up the opportunity again. On his social networks, the fighter portrayed the situation.

“It's the first time I've come out of a fight, I broke my rib cartilage and couldn't move for a week. On Thursday last week my surgery went very well. Keep in mind that all my fights canceled in the past were because of my opponents”, declared the athlete.

By continuing his speech, Manel took the opportunity to provoke the Brazilian, who refused to fight in the rematch after the Angolan failed to make weight.

“Where I come from, we used to fight for free. I'm not bragging, I'm just being honest, so don't ever think I'm like any of you,” she concluded.

Cast to star in the UFC Las Vegas 91 on July 27, Manel kape will not be able to seek revenge for the defeat suffered by the Brazilian in a fight that took place in 2019. Still at the event, Mateus Nicolau will face Alex Perez, currently ninth in the division.
