Without Brazilians in the spotlight, Dana White points out his five favorite events in UFC history

President of Ultimate reveals cards that marked his career as a promoter over the last few years

Looking forward to realizing the grand and historic UFC 300, Dana White highlighted the five events that he considers most emblematic in Ultimate. In a publication shared by 'TKO Group Holdings', the 'boss' listed cards that marked his career as a promoter over the last few years. No Brazilian is involved in the main catch fights.

The face of the UFC for almost 30 years, White didn't shy away from suggesting which shows contributed to the company's success. Conor McGregor He was the protagonist in two of the shows.

The Ultimate Fighter Finale – 2005

Dana never hid his appreciation for 'The Ultimate Fighter Finale', held in 2005. According to the promoter, the UFC was close to bankruptcy, but the historic confrontation between Forrest griffin e Stephan bonnar ended up 'saving' the company from a tragic end.

UFC 205 – 2016

Great supporter of Conor McGregor, White climbed second, an event in which the Irish star made history in the company. At UFC 205, months after beating José Aldo and unify the featherweight belt (up to 65,7kg.), the 'Notório' went to lightweight (up to 70,3kg.) and massacred the then title holder, Eddie Alvarez, becoming the first double champion in the book of memories of the company.

UFC 229 – 2018

To date, the company's highest-rated event, UFC 229 could not be left out of Dana's select list. In the main fight, Conor McGregor e Khabib Nurmagomedov took one of MMA's biggest rivalries to the Octagon. With provocations and widespread confusion at the end of the match, the Russian defended his lightweight title and started the Irishman's bad moment in the sport.

In 2021, Kamaru Usman, who reigned supreme at welterweight (up to 77,1kg.) asked for a rematch against Jorge masvidal. Frustrated by not having a convincing performance in the first meeting with the North American, the 'Nigerian Nightmare' wanted to prove himself against the 'bad boy' and scored an overwhelming knockout, adding yet another title defense, in the reign that would end the following season.

UFC 157 – 2013

With a firm declaration that she would never promote a fight between women, Dana swallowed her pride and, in 2013, promoted the first female MMA fight in UFC history. Ronda Rousey and Liz Carmouche were chosen for the historic moment. In the fight, Ronda submitted her rival and wore the inaugural bantamweight belt (up to 61,2kg).
