Former rival of Alex Poatán in the times of kickboxing, the Brazilian Cesar Almeida had a debut in the organization very similar to that of the current light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg). With the brutal knockout over Dyla Budka in UFC Las Vegas 90, which took place last Saturday (06), the Tupiniquim athlete repeated some feats from the debut of the Glover Teixeira.

Poatan's debut in the organization took place against the Greek Andreas Michailidis No. UFC 268, held in November 2021. The former two-time Glory champion emerged victorious with a beautiful knockout in the second round, as well as Cesar Almeida triumphed over Dyla Budka. After the event, Alex received the 'Performance of the Night' bonus given by the organization, a feat repeated by Cesinha at UFC Vegas 90.
At 36 years old, Cesar is undefeated in professional MMA with five victories, four of which were by knockout and one by decision. At the same age, but with more time in the organization, Poatan was once a middleweight champion and now holds the UFC light heavyweight belt. The Brazilian idol's next commitment will be on the historic card of UFC 300, which will take place on April 13th, in Las Vegas (USA), against the North American Jamahal hill.
