Back in the ring, Mike Tyson promises to stop using marijuana before fight with Jake Paul

Focused on the duel on July 20th, the legend of the noble art promised to stop consuming weed and sweets, vices that have been with him for years

Willing to prove to the world that 'in his territory' he is in charge, Mike Tyson admitted that he intends to give up some vices in the coming months to get in the best possible shape for the duel against Jake Paul. In an interview with 'Fox News', the legend of the noble art was focused on the fight on July 20th and promised to stop using marijuana, at least temporarily, and also reduce the consumption of sweets.

“I don’t know, maybe it has something to do with my tripolar tendencies or something. I think I'm going to be very irritable and unpleasant. Normally I eat (sweets) too, but for this particular fight I think I’m going to be pretty naked and raw,” Tyson said.


Tyson gained worldwide fame for his aggressive style and ability to erase opponents in the ring. Throughout his career as a professional boxer, the American accumulated 58 fights, winning 50 times, 44 of which by knockout. Inducted into the sport's Hall of Fame, Mike held world titles from the World Boxing Association (WBA), World Boxing Council (WBC), World Boxing Federation (IBF) and The Ring.

Mike Tyson, 57 years old, and Jake Paul, 27, will face each other in a boxing match on July 20th at the AT&T Arena, in Dallas, Texas, in the United States. The duel will be broadcast globally on Netflix.
