Jamahal Hill jokes about his reputation as an 'executioner' of Brazilian fighters: 'I'm already part of the culture'

The former champion did not want to fuel any rivalry, but joked when remembering the 100% success rate against Brazilian athletes.

Known as the 'executioner' of Brazilian fighters, the North American Jamahal hill He knew how to use the situation in a humorous way to his advantage. The former light heavyweight champion (up to 83,9kg) denied that he has any rivalry or animosity with athletes from the country, but emphasized that he already feels like he was born 'in the tropical country' after four victories over Tupiniquins.

“No (I have nothing against Brazilians)! I'm Brazilian, brother. At this point, I'm already Brazilian. I won a title in Rio de Janeiro. Am I still not part of the culture? After all? After five fights, five camps, against Brazilians? Am I still not part of the culture?” joked Hill in an interview with 'Ag. Fight'.


In four fights against Brazilian athletes, Hill never left the octagon defeated. The North American beat Klindson Abreu (result later reversed to a no-contest), Johnny Walker, Thiago Marreta e Glover Teixeira, this one holding the light heavyweight belt in UFC 283, in Rio de Janeiro.

Next Saturday (13), in the historic UFC 300, Alex Poatán will try to break the positive record of Jamahal hill against Brazilian athletes. The long-awaited clash will be valid for the under-93kg division belt, currently held by the Brazilian, and will be held at the T-Mobile Arena, in Las Vegas (USA).
