Charles do Bronx is challenged for lightweight prominence after defeat at UFC 300

Mateusz Gamrot uses social media to express his desire to face the Brazilian and awaits a response from his next target

In search of gaining more notoriety in the lightweight category (up to 70,3kg.) and getting closer to an eventual fight for the title, Mateusz gamrot took advantage of the scenario UFC 300 to speak out. With an eye on defeat Charles of the Bronx at the event, the Pole did not hesitate when using social media to challenge the former division champion.

“Great fight, but now it’s clear. Charles Oliveira is next,” said Gamrot on his official Facebook account. 'X' (old Twitter).

Unhappy with Gamrot's challenge, netizens quickly reacted negatively.

“He doesn’t know who you are,” said one follower.

Despite the challenge, Gamrot has not been matched by the Brazilian so far. Currently fifth in the category's ranking, the athlete has been on the back of three consecutive victories and is hoping to achieve his dream title fight. At 33 years old, the Pole has accumulated 22 triumphs and two setbacks in his professional MMA career.
