In the capital of the United Arab Emirates, a Russian hurricane has been brewing. Magomed Ankalayev wasted no time in aiming for the top of the light heavyweight division (up to 93kg.) UFC.

After the victory of Alex Poatán about Jamahal hill No. UFC 300, the Russian issued a provocative challenge on his social media: he will fight in Abu Dhabi for the belt, complete with a knockout in the first round and a pinprick to the Brazilian's chin.

"Alex Poatán x me in Abu Dhabi. Congratulations, Poatan. I will beat you in the first round and by knockout. Dana White, Mick Maynard, the man has no chin,” Ankalaev wrote on his official 'X' account.

Poatan's response has not yet come, but the atmosphere has already heated up. The Brazilian, who is considering moving up to heavyweight (up to 120,2kg) for an experiment, still has in mind a possible fight at home, in Rio de Janeiro, in UFC 301, in May. In his career, there are ten wins and two defeats.

Ankalaev, considered the favorite to be the next title challenger, seems determined to put the champion in his path, even if it means fighting outside of Brazil. He won Johnny Walker in his most recent fight and has a record of 19 positive results, one negative, one draw and one 'no contest'.
