Known for accepting challenges and looking for fights that will generate visibility, Renato Moicano adopted a sincere stance and went against what was expected by the MMA community. Currently ranked 10th in the lightweight rankings (up to 70,3kg), the fighter stated that he has no intention of facing Max Holloway, current BMF champion and explained the reason for his unusual choice.

“I saw a lot of people asking me: do you want to fight with Max Holloway? No way, my brother. I am fine. Max Holloway would hit me. We have to be truthful. We are not on the same level. I have to fight someone, like (Beneil) Dariush or Paddy Pimblett”, declared Moicano on his channel YouTube.
