Featherweight sensation, Diego Lopes points out ideal date and opponent to return to the UFC octagon

On the 6rd of May, Diego lopes completes one year since his debut in Ultimate. In this short period, the Brazilian living in Mexico lost a war against Movsar Evloev, in a fight he accepted at the last minute, and suffered interruptions in the first round against Gavin tucker, pat sabatini and most recently Sodiq Yusuf, in history UFC 300, securing a place in the featherweight rankings (up to 65,7 kg) and becoming popular with fans around the world.

Less than a year later, Diego lopes He considers himself ready to go back to the beginning and avenge the only defeat he suffered as a UFC fighter. During his appearance on the 'MMA Hour' podcast, the man from Manaus remembered the request he made to Dana White shortly after knocking out Yusuff and once again expressed his interest in a rematch against Movsar Evloev.

“I jumped over the cage and spoke to Dana. I said I'm going to be champion one day and asked for a rematch against Movsar Evloev during International Fight Week (UFC 303, on June 29th). After that, I will hit the Movsar Evloev and I’m going to Spain”, said Diego.

Since the victory over Diego lopes in May last year, Movsar Evloev returned to the octagon only once, when he overcame the British arnold allen, maintaining his unbeaten record in his career, with 18 wins in 18 fights and reaching fifth place in the rankings.
