Steve Erceg surprises by delivering strategy for the duel against Alexandre Pantoja at UFC Rio

The flyweight title challenger announced that he intends to keep the fight at long distance, avoiding the strong grappling of the champion

The Australian stated that he intends to keep the duel at long distance, thus avoiding the category champion's strong grappling game.

“My plan is mainly to punch him in the face and not get hit. He's obviously going to come at him recklessly and I'm going to try to stay out of his reach. Like 'death by a thousand cuts'. If I try to cut short and hit him too hard, it will give him the chance to staple me and use grappling. In the middle distance is where he will have the advantage, but if I stay good and technical, playing in the long distance, then I can frustrate him and make things difficult for him”, said Erceg.
