Alex Poatan hits back at Chris Weidman after being compared to Ben Askren by former UFC champion

Ultimate sensation mocks comments from Anderson Silva's former tormentor about merits in MMA career

Target of criticism from Chris Weidman, Alex Poatán countered the former UFC champion's comments. The Brazilian, who had his qualities compared to Ben Askren, who had a wasted time in Ultimate, responded with irony to the North American's acidic statements. In a publication made by 'Canal Encarada', on 'Instagram', the company's sensation pointed out its value.

“In my last fight, I may have made more money than this guy made in his entire career,” Alex wrote.

Brazilian MMA star, Poatan quickly established himself in Ultimate. Since his debut, at the end of 2021, the São Paulo native has won two titles in different categories, becoming the first Brazilian man to achieve this feat.

With a solid trajectory in the company, Alex was chosen as the protagonist of the historical UFC 300. On the show, the athlete delivered a tough knockout over Jamahal hill and defended the light heavyweight belt (up to 93kg.).
