Ronda Rousey does not hide his hurt with the sports media. In an interview with the podcast 'The Chris Cuomo Project', the former bantamweight champion (up to 61,2kg) of UFC revealed frustration and disappointment with the treatment he received after his retirement.

The athlete, who was once considered unbeatable inside the octagon, cited the case of Joe Rogan, UFC commentator, as an example of what she considers 'fake love' on the part of the media.

“People like Joe Rogan, who even cried when they announced my fights, who I considered friends in the media, quickly turned against me. I'm grateful for that, because it forced me to separate the perception that people have about me”, said Ronda.

The judoka, who retired in 2016 after two consecutive defeats, feels wronged by the lack of recognition for her achievements.

“I was pleasing everyone and doing things that other people would think were cool, but I didn't really enjoy. It wasn't true love, it was fake. It's a reflection of them and what I represent to them. The MMA media hates me, but that's okay. They don’t give me the credit I deserve, but I’ll be waiting for that call forever,” she concluded.
