On the rise in UFC, Alex Poatán does not go unnoticed by anyone. Not even by his professional colleagues. One of those who surrendered to the São Paulo native's talent was Paulo borrachinha. In an interview with 'Jaxxon Podcast', led by Quinton jackson, the Minas Gerais native analyzed the fighting style of the light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg), highlighting his effectiveness inside the Octagon.

“I never trained with Poatan, but I saw him hitting a punching bag and he's a little different. He moves his elbows in a way that you can't learn in boxing. You have to respect it, because he has his style and it works. In the fight against Jamahal hill, he was very focused. The decisive blow was not an upper or a jab, it was an upper and jab”, explained the Minas Gerais native.

Despite recognizing Poatan's talent, Borrachinha also highlights that the São Paulo native is still on the rise in his career.

“I only talked to Poatan once, on social media, but I like him. A few fights before, I wasn't sure of his potential, after all, he's still kind of new to MMA. But he knows how to win fights. Some guys are very good at this,” concluded Borrachinha.

Alex Poatán, 36 years old, has a record of ten wins and two losses in his career in professional MMA. Protagonist of UFC 300, the brazilian knocked out Jamahal hill still in the first round.
