“There are a lot of great guys out there. Vicente (Luque) deserves it, (Robert) Whittaker certainly in the midfield. In the heavyweights? (Tom) Aspinall is a great guy. He also deserves an 'NMF' belt. Right now I'm thinking about (Max) Holloway, (Dustin) Poirier and I can go on. There are a lot of top tier gentlemen in the UFC in every division,” said Thompson.

Considered one of the biggest names in the division in the past decade, Thompson is not having a great time in the organization. 'Wonderboy' suffered three defeats, to Shavkat Rakhmonov, Belal Muhammad | e Gilbert Durinho and won only one fight, against Kevin holland.

At 41 years old, Stephen has an MMA record of 17 wins, seven setbacks and one draw. In around 11 years in the UFC, the North American has already won 12 victories and suffered seven setbacks. In the organization, Wonderboy has already beaten names like Vincent Luque, Jorge masvidal, Robert whittaker e Rory McDonald.
