Previously considered one of the main candidates for a title fight in the flyweight division (up to 56,7 kg), Matheus Nicolau fell in the category ranking after suffering the second consecutive defeat in the octagon, against Alex Perez, in the main fight of the UFC Las Vegas 91, last Saturday (27).

Matheus Nicolau, which entered the UFC Las Vegas 91, occupying fifth place in the ranking and with broad favoritism for the duel against Alex Perez, ended up being knocked out by his rival in the second round and, as a result, lost three positions in the division, falling to eighth place.
