Paddy Pimblett 'slams' his next rival and reveals his frustration at not facing Renato Moicano

English star criticizes Bobby Green and reinforces initial preference for Brazilian prominence in the top 10 lightweight division

The choice of Bobby Green as the next opponent of Paddy Pimblett did not please the English star. In an interview with 'The Mac Life', the lightweight (up to 70,3kg) 'taunted' his next opponent and revealed his frustration at not facing Renato Moicano. The challenge against the North American takes place at UFC 304, in England.

“I wanted to face Moicano, number 10. Moicano is fun and we created a little rivalry. Bobby Green is a fool. (…) He’s a shitty human being. He said I challenged him. Why would I challenge the Bobby Green?”, declared Pimblett.

The UFC star, however, made a point of highlighting his opponent's qualities. The fighter, however, guaranteed to visualize victory against the veteran.

“He is very good at striking, he has good hands. His chin, however, ended after what happened to jalin turner. (…) He has good striking, takedown defenses. (…) I can see myself knocking out or submitting. It was never finished. So that would be great. The first person to finish Bobby Green”, ended.


Betting on the future of the UFC, Pimblett is undefeated in the organization. Today, the lightweight has five consecutive victories in the company.
