Tom Aspinall admits risks in fighting Curtis Blaydes at UFC 304 and once again pokes fun at Jon Jones

After persistently pursuing a chance to unify the heavyweight belts (up to 120,2 kg) against Jon Jones, Tom aspinall ended up confirming his first defense of the interim belt in the category in a rematch against Curtis blaydes, on July 27th, in Manchester, England. The Brit made it clear that he is aware of all the risks he is taking.

The first time they faced each other, Tom aspinall got the worst of it Curtis blaydes after suffering a serious knee injury in the first seconds of the fight. Despite the stain on his record, the Brit appears as a clear favorite for the rematch against the North American, but, in an interview with 'The MacLife', he made a point of not underestimating his opponent.

“Well, he can beat me. We are talking about heavyweights at the highest level of MMA, someone can always win. I believe in myself, I think I'm fine, I think I'm the best in the world, but that doesn't make me invincible at all. It’s heavyweight, a good blow from Curtis and the referee could be waking me up, that’s how it works,” said the Brit.

Even confirmed to face Curtis blaydes, Tom aspinall didn't miss the opportunity to give the linear champion a little 'nip' Jon Jones.
