Miranda maverick he vented his dissatisfaction with the number of fights offered to him by the organization. The flyweight fighter (up to 56,7kg), who competes in the UFC since 2020, he believes that the schedule of just two fights per year limits his career advancement and hinders his financial stability.

“I would like to fight a lot more. I think two fights a year are pretty insignificant. Three fights a year isn't even ideal. I wanted us fighters to have the chance to choose that number”, declared Maverick.

The fighter highlights her willingness to accept fights at the last minute, emphasizing that she has already communicated this interest to UFC matchmakers. She also claims that the restricted schedule compromises her income, even when competing at a high level. She is the second fighter to complain about the organization's wages this week, after Maria Agapova declare that they could even become 'homeless'.

“I keep poking matchmakers to see if they need someone for a short notice fight, three days notice, five days notice, even two weeks. I'm ready for combat. I think showing this availability (for last-minute fights) made me fight more often, but it's difficult to sustain yourself with just two fights a year, even at the level I'm at,” he said.

At 26, Miranda maverick comes on a streak of 13 positive results and five negative results, but has won two series victories. She has a fight scheduled to face Tracy Cortez, on the 20th of July.
