Daniel Cormier indicates Conor McGregor's future after duel with Michael Chandler: 'Win or lose'

The current commentator tried to help with the Irishman's future by suggesting two possible rivals for after UFC 303

On June 29th, Conor McGregor will make his long-awaited return to MMA after a three-year absence. Current commentator for the organization, Daniel Cormier praised the Irishman and outlined a future scenario for the Irishman, regardless of the result in the duel with Michael chandler.

“If he goes through Michael chandler, I say you have to give him a title fight. Put it there against Dustin poirier ou Islam makhachev on Mexican Independence Day (UFC 306) or shortly thereafter. You don't want it to sit still for too long. If he loses, put him there against Tony Ferguson. Tony Ferguson deserves to have this big platform so we know if he can do what he said he would do with Conor so long ago,” Cormier said.

After about three years of absence from the octagon, due to a serious leg injury, Conor McGregor returns to the octagon in the main fight of the UFC 303, which takes place on June 29th, at the T-Mobile Arena, in Las Vegas (USA). The Irishman's rival will be the veteran ex-Bellator Michael chandler. Both fighters starred in the thirty-first season of the reality show 'The Ultimate Fighter' in 2023.
