Jon Jones echoes Stipe Miocic's controversial video and shows focus on duel with former champion

The owner of the heavyweight belt ignored the record and assured that nothing will hinder his preparation for the long-awaited duel

Last weekend, Stipe Miocic He released a video doing the gauntlet on a social network and his low speed caught the attention of MMA fans. However, the current heavyweight champion (up to 120,2kg) Jon Jones he quickly expressed himself on his Twitter and assured that he is experienced enough in this sport not to be fooled by a short training record of his next opponent.

“I’m not a war historian or anything, but I’ve learned a thing or two in my time. A big part of combat strategy is timing and deception. Long story short: if your opponent looks weak, prepare even more. Complacency is the biggest enemy of a fighter like me” wrote Jones.


Current heavyweight champion, Jones has already returned to training and is recovering from two serious recent surgeries. In his first title defense, 'Bones' will face the veteran Stipe Miocic, former king of the category. The duel does not yet have an official date or location, but it should take place in November, in New York.
