Jailton Malhadinho shines again and recovers from defeat with submission at UFC 302

Baiano takes no notice of Alexandr Romanov and wins in the first round

The star shone again. Overcome by Curtis blaydes in your last engagement, Jailton Malhadinho gave a show at UFC 302, in Newark (USA). Featured in the preliminary card of this Saturday's event (1), the Bahian was not aware of Alexander Romanov and 'chased away his demons' with an overwhelming performance. Practically untouched, the Brazilian submitted his rival with a rear naked choke in the first round.

With the victory, Malhadinho not only recovers from the defeat suffered at the beginning of the season, but also dreams of the belt again. The Tupiniquim also defended seventh position in the heavyweight division (up to 120,2kg).

Overtaken by Jailton, Romanov lost the opportunity to debut in the top 10 of the category. The 'giant' reached the clash in 13th place.

In an interview still in the octagon, Jailton suggested his next opponent. The athlete requested a fight in France, where the former interim champion should appear Cyryl Gane.

The fight started with Malhadinho taking the initiative with two low kicks. Afterwards, the Bahian looked for his opponent's leg and managed a takedown. On top, the Bahian looked for openings to strike his opponent. Romanov tried to react, but ended up turning his back on his opponent. Jailton started to look for the rear naked choke, but his rival continued to resist. Halfway through the stage, the Brazilian had a total advantage. Malhadinho used the rear-naked choke again and forced his rival to tap out.
