Sean Strickland blamed Paulo borrachinha for the warm fight presented in the UFC 302. In a press conference moments after overcoming the Brazilian, the 'bad boy' expressed discomfort with his performance. After five rounds, the former champion was declared the winner in a split decision by the judges.

“Sorry, it's very difficult when the opponent doesn't want to fight. I didn't expect that from Costa (Borrachinha). He's not like that. He came up, took a hit and perhaps changed his strategy. Maybe he wanted to be my friend,” Strickland said.
