“Congratulations to Islam! But don't try to escape to another category. You only defended your title once against a real lightweight. I’m next in line,” Tsarukyan wrote on Twitter.

In the main fight UFC 302, held last Saturday (01), Islam makhachev finished Dustin poirier in the fifth round and defended the lightweight belt for the third consecutive time, becoming the category's record holder alongside Ben henderson e Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Current lightweight ranking number, Arman Tsarukyan comes from victory over the former champion Charles of the Bronx on the main card of UFC 300, held last April. At just 27 years old, the Armenian prospect has a professional MMA record of 22 triumphs and just two setbacks.
