“I want to fight in August. August, but we are still negotiating. Let's see, I think it will work. Coming back, right? After breaking both fingers. For kicking, I haven't kicked yet, but I think next week I'll be doing some training, some contacts, kicking, at least a punching bag. Return slowly. I'm talking about August, so there's a good amount of time to recover and prepare my body. That’s it,” said Poatan.

Current light heavyweight champion, Poatan successfully defended the belt for the first time in history UFC 300, held on April 13th. With the triumph, the pupil of Glover Teixeira joined the select group of athletes who have reigned in two different weight divisions in the organization. At 36 years old, Alex has an MMA record of 10 triumphs and just two setbacks.
