“Oddly enough, in this fight I didn't take any blows, and I ended up feeling my knee during the fight. When I went to look for a position, when I went to put the hook on his, Romanov's back, I ended up contracting my knee a lot. I made this movement here (fold). And it ended up causing a shock, that jolt that hits you in the knee. I felt it, but the blood was hot, in the heat of the fight. Then when I got out of the cage and walked, I started to feel discomfort in my knee. The UFC doctors evaluated it, I put on a knee brace. They ordered an MRI, a specific exam. Then I'll do it and send it to them to evaluate it. I still don't know how serious it is. I still feel a little in my knee when I bend, but nothing that hurts as much as it did before. I hope it’s nothing,” said Malhadinho in an interview with 'Ag. Fight'.

No UFC 302, held on June 01st, Jailton Malhadinho did not become aware of Alexander Romanov and submitted his rival in the first round, returning to the winning path. At 32 years old, the Brazilian MMA prospect has a professional record of 21 triumphs and just three setbacks.
