Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen make weight, make last stand and confirm boxing fight this Saturday

Brazilian and rival face each other for the last time before the challenge at Spaten Fight Night

Everything is fine for the boxing challenge between Anderson Silva e Chael Sonnen. This Friday afternoon (15), the protagonists of Spaten Fight Night. The clash, which puts the former UFC stars face to face after more than 10 years, takes place at a combined weight (up to 98kg), and will be held this Saturday (15).

In addition to the opportunity to once again face his biggest rival in MMA, the weekend commitment has a different weight for Anderson. The clash marks the legend's farewell to clashes on Brazilian territory.


Considered one of the best of all time in mixed martial arts, Silva has dedicated himself to boxing since leaving the UFC at the end of 2020. To date, the Brazilian has accumulated four fights.

The last time 'Spider' competed in the ring was almost two years ago. On that occasion, the athlete was surpassed by Jake Paul.


Responsible for trying to 'spoil the party' for Anderson, Sonnen has an even bigger hiatus in his career. The 'bad boy's last challenge came in 2019, when he was beaten by Lyoto Machida.

Fight rules

This Saturday, the fight between Anderson Silva e Chael Sonnen will have special rules. In total, there are five rounds of two minutes each, and a minute of rest between each stage.


The weight among athletes was set at a maximum of 98kg. The protagonists of Spaten Fight Night will wear 14-ounce gloves.
