“He went through Cyryl Gane easily and, in my opinion, he would do the same thing with Francis (Ngannou). One hundred percent (sure). He would do the same thing with Francis. Francis didn't want to fight with Jon Jones. Jon Jones He's the scariest and baddest fighter of all time. Jon Jones has his problems outside of the octagon, which actually makes it more impressive if you think about the lifestyle he was living and doing it with the best fighters in the world. Jon Jones He’s one of those guys who won’t be truly valued until he retires,” Dana said.

Former heavyweight champion, Ngannou did not want to renew his contract with the UFC and was released at the beginning of 2023. A few months later, the Cameroonian was hired by the PFL, but has not yet made his debut in his new home.

While he doesn't debut in the PFL, Ngannou had two boxing matches, against Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, and was defeated in both, with a knockout.
