Dana White cites crucial reason that prevented Ronda Rousey from evolving as an MMA fighter

UFC President defends that former bantamweight champion was harmed by her responsibility to represent the female squad

Thank you for all the evolution that Ronda Rousey brought to UFC and women's MMA, Dana White opened up and analyzed reasons for the downfall in the career of the former bantamweight champion (up to 61,2kg.). In the president's view, judoka ended up being harmed by having great responsibility in the sport and ended up not having the opportunity to follow the evolution of her rivals while dealing with other business on the day.

“What happened with Ronda was that Ronda was unique in that she came in and put it on the world stage. This thing about women fighting. She put it on the world stage at a level that no one else could have done. While she was doing what she was doing, building the sport, the UFC and women, all these other women were training to beat her. She had so much on her shoulders at that time that it was literally impossible to continue growing as a fighter during that time,” White explained on The Club Shay Shay podcast.
