Former UFC champion makes sad prediction for Khamzat Chimaev's future

Demetrious Johnson expressed concern about the star's possible illness and hinted that he could retire from the sport in the near future

The controversial departure of Khamzat Shimaev do UFC Saudi Arabia continues to resonate in the MMA community. Former UFC champion, Demetrious Johnson was not very excited about the star's future and predicted that he could retire soon, if he discovers that he has a serious health problem.

“Khamzat reminds me of an athlete who competed in this UFC, his name is Zabit Magomedsharipov. Now when I look at Khamzat, I'm not saying he's going to retire, but I wouldn't be surprised if he did, because every time this guy gets ready for a fight, he ends up in the hospital. I'm sure he has some health problem that he hasn't figured out what it is. I'm sure if he finds out, he'll become a better athlete or we'll see him retire,” Johnson said.
