The presence of Alex Poatán e Diego lopes in the two main fights of the UFC 303, this Saturday (29), in itself, fills the most superstitious Brazilian fans with hope. This is because São Paulo and Manauara have a perfect track record when performing in the same events.

The 'double' had its starting point in UFC 295, in November last year. In this ocasion, Alex Poatán was the main fight of an event initially planned to have Jon Jones e Stipe Miocic as protagonists, and became light heavyweight champion (up to 93 kg) with a knockout right over Jiri Prochazka, who returns to be his opponent in the UFC 303. Shortly before, on the preliminary card, Diego lopes achieved his second victory in Ultimate by knocking out pat sabatini in the first round.

The 'partnership' maintained its success on record UFC 300, in April this year. Once again in the main fight, Alex Poatán knocked out Jamahal hill in the first round to defend the belt he won months before. Again on the preliminary card, Diego lopes guaranteed his place in the top 15 featherweights (up to 65,7 kg) with another knockout, this time over Sodiq Yusuf, in about a minute and a half.

The third chapter of the double between Brazilians takes place this Saturday (29), at UFC 303, at the T-Mobile Arena, in Las Vegas, in the United States. Alex Poatán seeks second defense of light heavyweight belt in rematch against Jiri Prochazka, While Diego lopes aims for a place in the top 3 featherweight division against the former title challenger Brian ortega.
