Poatan Effect? Jon Jones is undecided about retirement after duel with Stipe Miocic

Previously convinced about hanging up his gloves, the heavyweight champion was excited about the challenges that could still arise in MMA

If before the decision to retire after the duel with Stipe Miocic it was right, Jon Jones he seems to no longer be so sure about his future. In conversation with fans on the social network 'X' (formerly Twitter), the heavyweight champion (up to 120,2kg) said he had 'crazy options' for pursuing his career and stated that he will only decide the direction of his career after his performance against the former owner of the belt, probably in November.

“Honestly, it's hard to say right now. I'm going to base a lot of this (the retirement decision) on my next presentation. The options are looking crazy right now,” Jones wrote.


Biggest name in the history of light heavyweight (up to 93kg), Jon Jones won the second belt in March 2023, at UFC 285, when finished Cyryl Gane still in the first round. Recovering from two recent surgeries, the heavyweight champion is expected to return to the Octagon in November, against the veteran and former king of the category Stipe Miocic.
