Michel Pereira returns to the octagon and announces fight against middleweight 'tick' in September

Brazilian defends 13th place position in the category and accepts crucial challenge scheduled for September 14th in Las Vegas

On meteoric rise in Ultimate, Michael Pereira has a new commitment scheduled in the middleweight division (up to 83,9kg.). After a devastating victory in Rio de Janeiro, the athlete prepares to fight in Las Vegas, in the 'Esfera' and faces the dangerous anthony hernandez. The clash will be held on September 14, in an event that, according to Dana White, 'will be the biggest in history'.

Currently placed 13th in the category's ranking, Michel has been on the back of eight consecutive victories since the organization's last defeat. Looking to take bigger steps towards the belt, the athlete faces his first ranked opponent since moving to 83kg in Ultimate. This will be the third appearance of 'Daredevil' in 2024.

Touted as a promising middleweight, Hernandez is known for his suffocating style in front of his opponents. In eight fights for the organization, the Mexican had five wins via the fast track, four of which were by submission. Currently, the North American is ranked 14th and is coming off a victory over Roman Kopylov. The duel against Michel takes place on September 14, in Las Vegas.
