The light heavyweight champion ended his rivalry with the Czech and asked him to avoid any kind of malicious comments from now on.

The accusations of Jiri Prochazka about Alex Poatán Using 'spiritual aids' in their fights continued to resonate between the two fighters even after last Saturday's event (29). In a meeting at Las Vegas airport (USA), the light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg) let his guard down in front of the Czech and asked him to close the matter, so that there is no malicious interpretation on the part of MMA fans and of other members of the community.

“Happy for the fight. Tell him our religion is different. I believe in god. It’s important to say so that people don’t take this as evil, we’re not going to do that,” said Poatan.


Despite the provocations during the week of UFC 303, Alex took no notice of his rival and brutally knocked him out in the second round of the main fight. With the triumph, Poatan defended the light heavyweight belt for the second time and consolidated his name in the organization's history.
