One of the main names on the Alex Poatán for the future, Tom aspinall demonstrates reciprocity regarding interest in a possible fight with the Brazilian. More than that, the interim heavyweight champion (up to 120,2 kg) is almost certain that their paths will cross at some point.

In a recent interview with the 'talkSPORT' portal, Tom aspinall assured that he does not choose opponents and was willing to receive Alex Poatán in the heavyweights if that is the UFC's desire.

“As you have already noticed, I do not hide from anyone. If the UFC wants to do this fight, I’m more than happy to do it”, guaranteed the Brit.

Tom aspinall tore praises to Alex Poatán and highlighted the Brazilian’s meteoric rise. According to the Brit, however, so much praise is not an indication that he does not want to share the octagon with the light heavyweight champion, quite the opposite.

“As an elite fighter, I can't help but be impressed with what Alex Pereira has done over the last few years. A few years ago no one knew who he was, now he is one of the biggest stars in MMA, one of the best fighters in the history of the UFC. I really respect what he did. Does this mean I don't want to face him? No. I absolutely want to face him. I'm sure there will be a time and place for that. If it’s what the UFC wants, we will absolutely do it.”
