Main coach and friend of Alex Poatán, Plínio Cruz is still amazed by the 'hunger' of the light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg). In an interview with 'MMA Fighting', the coach of the Glover Teixeira did not hide his surprise at the 'Indian''s quick return to training and revealed that he dreams of playing on the UFC 305, scheduled for August 17th.

“Since November, he (Alex Poatán) has already fought three times. It takes a toll on the body. I said: 'Brother, let's enjoy the belt for a while, without rushing. Let's just train'. But this guy is crazy. He already trained on Monday, he looked at me and said: 'Listen, this was my second sparring session of the camp for Perth (UFC 305). I swear to God. I said, 'No, no. Let’s pump the brakes a little,’” said Plínio.
O UFC 305 takes place on August 17th, in Perth, Australia and will have as its main fight the fight for the middleweight belt (up to 83,9kg) between the champion Dricus Du Plessis and the Nigerian and former owner of the belt Israel adesanya.
Last Saturday (29), Poatan knocked out Jiri Prochazka again and defended the light heavyweight belt for the second time. The duel was the main attraction of the UFC 303, which took place at the T-Mobile Arena, in Las Vegas (USA).
