Alex Poatan hears 'request' from former world boxing champion and shows interest in acting in the noble art

Englishman Anthony Joshua showed interest in the sport over the UFC champion and the Brazilian asked for 'suggestions' of possible rivals

Living a splendid moment in his career, Alex Poatán he was 'invited' to show his talents in another sport. In a post on the social network 'X' (formerly Twitter), former heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua expressed that he would like to see the owner of the light heavyweight belt (up to 93kg) in the noble art and the Brazilian responded to the compliment by opening his doors to possibility.

“Alex Pereira should make his boxing debut one day,” said Joshua.


Without hesitation, the light heavyweight champion responded saying that he liked the idea and said he was open to hearing the names of possible rivals.

“I'm honored that you think so. It's always been my dream, I'm 37 years old and I can't make a career out of it, so who do you recommend I fight with?”, asked the Brazilian.


No UFC 303, held on June 29, Poatan knocked out Jiri Prochazka again and defended the light heavyweight belt for the second time in a row. The great duel took place at the T-Mobile Arena, in Las Vegas (USA).
