Brazilians make weight and confirm fights at UFC Denver, this Saturday

Everything is fine for the 'Brazilian Squadron' at UFC Denver. Representatives of the country at the event this Saturday (13), Jean Silva, Gabriel Marretinha e Luana Santos They easily won the challenge against the scales at the event's official weigh-in, held in the early afternoon of this Friday (12), and confirmed their respective fights.

The Brazilian trio stepped onto the scale in the first 20 minutes of weighing and had no problems making weight. Jean Silva e Luana Santos reached the 'championship weights' of lightweights (up to 70,3 kg) and flyweights (up to 56,7 kg), respectively, while welterweights (up to 77,1 kg) Gabriel Marretinha he used the permitted pound tolerance for non-belt fights and measured 77,5 kg.

UFC Denver's main fight is a duel between flyweights Rose namajunas e Tracy Cortez. The former strawweight champion was the first to step on the scale and was below the category limit, weighing 56,5 kg. Cortez, on the other hand, was the second to last to attend and weighed around 57,3 kg, just over 200 g above the category limit, already counting on the pound tolerance. A few minutes later, Tracy returned to the scale with her hair cut and this time weighed 57,1 kg, confirming the duel.
