Rooting for the dream of facing Jon Jones in the octagon in his MMA career, Tom aspinall was graced by Dana White's positive thoughts regarding the eventual duel. A declared fan of the linear heavyweight champion (up to 120,2 kg), the president declared that he would be shocked if 'Bones' did not choose to venture against the Englishman after facing Stipe Miocic in November.
“Stipe is 100% going to retire after this fight. Listen, Jon Jones, you know how I talk about Jon Jones and what do I think of Jon Jones like a fighter. Jon Jones always likes to challenge himself, moved to heavyweight. I don't know what Jon Jones will do after this fight, but I would be shocked if he didn't want to test himself against Tom aspinall,” White told Kevin Iole.

Despite the optimism expressed by the president, there is still no confirmation from Jones about his future in the organization. In the last publication made on the subject, the athlete stated that everything depended on his level of performance against the Croatian.

On the other hand, Aspinall, interim champion of the category, stated that he will not perform again until the end of the fight between Jon Jones e Stipe Miocic. The expectation is that the Englishman will unify the belts with the North American in 2025.
