Magomed Ankalayev is not at all satisfied with the stance of Alex Poatán. The Russian, one of the main names in the UFC's light heavyweight division (up to 93kg), used his social media to criticize the champion, who expressed interest in descending to face Dricus du Plessis in a middleweight fight (up to 83,9kg.).
It all started after the victory of Dricus du Plessis about Israel adesanya No. UFC 305. Poatan, who was previously middleweight champion, expressed interest in returning to the division and challenging the new champion. However, Ankalaev felt disrespected by not being mentioned by Poatan.

Ankalaev x Poatan
The rivalry between Ankalaev and Poatan has gained strength in recent months, but the UFC decided to give Alex one more chance to defend his title against Khalil rountree No. UFC 307, while Magomed was scheduled to face Rakic in the same month of October.
