Responsible for hiring athletes who go through 'the most difficult job interview in the world', Dana White shows that he has no pity for the fighters who venture into the Contender Series. Chosen for the second time to fight in front of the president, Torrez Finney won again, but ended up being detonated by the president after a 'poor' performance and lost another opportunity to join the organization.

“It was a strange night. Let's put it this way, in my opinion. Finney, you were here last year and, you know, my recommendation was that you go out and get some experience. You are young. Obviously, you are talented. Now you're 9-0. You put up a fight. You came out within a year and fought a fight. And, you know, I'm always brutally honest about these things. You would be absolutely destroyed in the UFC with the performance you had tonight. Your performance last year was better than this performance”, declared Dana addressing the athlete.

Despite his strict stance, Dana did not close the doors on Finney and demonstrated that he was open to new opportunities.

“You’re 25, kid. It's obvious that you are a talented athlete. Go ahead and have three or four fights this year. Then come back and talk to us about the UFC. You were exhausted tonight. It was difficult to go through three rounds. You're not ready for the UFC. When I said go out and gain experience, I didn't mean a fight. I meant to do some fights. We will see him soon”, he concluded.

Undefeated in his career, Finney became known for his talent in grappling and his aggressive stance in combat. At 1,73 meters tall and with a wingspan of 1,92 meters, the athlete ended up disappointing in his performance and had his first triumph in the judges' decision. After the president's speech, Torrez remained silent.
