Hungry for the opportunity to compete for the heavyweight title (up to 120,2kg.) in his next appearance, Tom aspinall is focused on collecting as much information as possible that could end up contributing in your favor. In a video published this Wednesday, the Englishman stated that he had information that Stipe Miocic is injured, suggesting that the veteran will not be able to perform in November against Jon Jones.

“A lot of talk, nothing has been declared yet, it’s just rumors. I'm hearing rumors that Stipe is potentially injured. These things I'm hearing are from his circle. Stipe, I believe his birthday was yesterday, he's 42 years old, the guy is injury prone (…) I'm ready to fight, I'm not even in my prime yet, I'm hungry for it, I'm not sure if these two guys are , but I am. I will fight any of them for the linear title, on any occasion, I am ready”, declared Aspinall on his YouTube channel.

After repercussions over the statement, Miocic quickly turned to his official account on 'X' to state that everything said by the Englishman was false news.

Scheduled to face each other in the UFC 309, Jon Jones and SMiocic will compete for the category's linear belt. Current interim champion, Aspinall hopes that the winner will not retire and will face him next. Despite his desire, the Englishman is counting, so far, on the North American and Croatian lack of interest in granting the opportunity.
