Away from MMA since she was knocked out by Amanda nunes at UFC 207, in 2016, Ronda Rousey is the target of questions and requests about a possible return to the octagon. Despite the great success seen in her career, the fighter claims that she will not have neurological conditions if she fights professionally again and guarantees that there will be no improvements due to the damage suffered.

“Every two years the same rumor appears. It's good to know you're missed, I guess. But that's not happening. I am not neurologically fit to compete at the highest level anymore. I simply can't do it. You reach a level where the neurological injuries you suffer accumulate over time. They don’t get better,” said Ronda in an interview Insight Podcast.

As she continued her speech, Rousey reflected on the companionship of those calling for her return to the sport she reigned over for many years.

“Everyone loves to see you fight when you're in the cage, but none of those people will be by your side in the future. You have to take care of yourself and your family and put that first. Because you are just a passing entertainment for everyone else. You see this in professional wrestling, people become addicted to the applause and can't stop, can't stay away, even when it becomes harmful to them”, he reinforced.

“I had to put my foot down and say, 'This has gotten to the point where my brain can't take it anymore and it has nothing to do with how tough I am or anything like that.' It’s just the way things are,” he concluded.
