Merab Dvalishvili, once again, featured an unusual moment that left Dana White perplexed. In the midst of preparing for the bantamweight belt fight (up to 61,2 kg.) against Sean O'Malley, the Georgian fighter decided to remove his own stitches with pruning shears, a tool normally used to take care of gardens, and had an unapproved attitude by the president of UFC.
The episode, recorded on video and quickly viral on social media, occurred just a few days before the highly anticipated fight. When asked about Dvalishvili's attitude, Dana expressed surprise and, in an ironic tone, stated that the fighter was 'joking' with him.

“He is testing my limits. Have you ever seen the scissors they use to remove the stitches? It's tiny and there's that thing there so you don't cut yourself. They can slide under the stitches, you won't cut yourself. This guy had a fucking pair of bush shears he was using, trim your bushes with the ones gardeners use. Whatever, good for him,” said the boss in an interview after the Contender Series.
