After the conclusion of all the fights, the North American was the only winner to not sign a contract with the UFC. Dana White stated that the reason was simple: for him, Piccininni was not the winner of the confrontation. However, the biggest surprise came next. After recognizing the winner's talent, the president suggested that the two have a rematch in his own stadium. reality showin order to resolve the impasse.
“The first fight is difficult, as I completely disagree with the judges’ decision. I didn't think Nick won the fight. Duffy landed more significant strikes, more leg kicks and generated more damage. In the middle of the program, I thought about doing a rematch because I don't think Nick won. It was a great fight. I would love to schedule a new fight right here, on the Contender Series, in episode 10. I think that would be the fairest thing, instead of sending him to fight in other events”, said the president of the organization.
