Brazilian has name mentioned by Petr Yan for fight in December at UFC

Former UFC bantamweight champion (up to 61,2kg), Petr yan launched a challenge to Deiveson Figueiredo for the organization's final pay-per-view event in 2024, which takes place in December. Known for his aggressive style and refined technique, the Russian expressed his desire to face the Brazilian, who has impressed in the bantamweight division after a successful career in the flyweight division (under 56,7kg).

It all started with Petr expressing his desire to fight on the card in December, which could have Conor McGregor x Michael chandler in the main clash. Asked by a fan who he would like to face, the former champion was direct: Deiveson Figueiredo.

Deiveson Figueiredo, in turn, has not yet commented on the challenge. The Brazilian has been rising quickly in the bantamweight rankings, following a run of three consecutive victories since leaving the flyweight division. Currently, he occupies fifth position in the category led by Sean O'Malley.

Yes, Petr yan is going through a turbulent time, with just one victory in the last four fights. Leader of the division from 2020 to 2021, the fighter has a record of 17 positive results and five negative results.
